Labor Day Weekend

What a wonderful relaxing weekend with my family. I worked from home on Friday morning and had my last early out that afternoon. Lindy and I waited for daddy to come home and play.  We FINALLY put together my 75 gallon aquarium! It has been collecting dust for a couple of months while I’ve been doing some research. I’ve had a 10 gallon my WHOLE life and jumping from that size to 75 takes a little more skill.  Dale and I were able to lift the tank off the stand, take it outside, hose it down and then bring it back inside to fill it up. We were both quite nervous -it HAS to be 500 pounds of water, glass, and stand. I plugged in the filter and other acutraments and then sat back and watched it work. (gotta wait at least 24 hours for everything to stablize before fish)

Monday was a little bit busier. We met the third nanny Monday morning -a lovely woman, Lynn who has 3 children who all start school tomorrow. She will be watching Lindy on Mondays and Wednesdays. We are blessed to know such strong, Christian couples who have been married for 15 years! I believe 2 out of the 3 nannies have been married that long.

We drove to our friend’s house (aka Dale’s boss Norma) for lunch and time with all the animals. We got to visit the donkey, goats, bunny, dogs, and of course Norma and her family. After THAT, we drove to the petstore and grab some fish! I got 5 Silver Dollars and 2 Dwarf Gouramis. I was hoping to buy 10 small schooling fish but the young checkout girl WOULDN’T let me buy more. “You should just do these for now” HA! You should see the 7 fish huddled in one corner of the tank -I need at LEAST 10 more fish.

Dale has been working on his new bike and putting it all together. His frame from Alaska is unfixable so he has been re-building a new bike. Had a few glitches on his first ride -had to stop every 30 minutes to screw a bolt in. Ha. We’ll take some pictures soon so that you can see it. He is very proud of his handiwork.

Well, it is getting late, I must prepare mentally for work and then bed. I have 3 new hires tomorrow.
